At Calvary Chapel Running Springs, our desire is to follow Jesus Christ and change the world. This is why our mission is to be His disciples and make disciples.

To be a true follower of Jesus, a man or woman must first be born again (John 3). This transformation begins with genuine repentance from sin (wrong living) and living a life surrendered to Jesus. By receiving and confessing that He took on the punishment of all our sins on the cross, His forgiveness sets us free from the chains of sin. As a result, God the Holy Spirit takes residence inside of us and enables real growth in our new identity as a child of God (I Corinthians 6). Now being in right standing as a new creation (II Corinthians 5) our spiritual desires change and seek to apply God’s living Word, worship Him, pray to Him, and produce tangible fruit (Galatians 5).

As followers of Jesus Christ, our old ways begin to peel away, and the new man/woman experiences an authentic relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
